Bomma's blown crystal in the Dew Drops collection represents the pinnacle of glassmaking art - each crystal "drop" is hand-shaped by skilled artisans using a traditional glass blower, ensuring the perfect organic form and optical purity of the material. Bomma uses only premium crystal with exceptional light transmission, which is then carefully cut and treated to create a fascinating play of light reflections and subtle pearlescent effects. This process, combining centuries-old Czech craftsmanship with a modern design approach, gives each luminaire the character of a work of art - no two pieces are exactly the same, all retaining the impeccable aesthetic and functional quality for which the Bomma brand is world-renowned.

The magic of the drop shadow

The Dew Drops luminaire by Bomma creates fascinating light compositions on the walls, where crystal drops turn into living light objects. Hand-blown crystal elements scatter light into shimmering reflections that create the illusion of dancing dewdrops on the wall, while fabric strips with the drops cast subtle shadow patterns reminiscent of grass animated by the morning humidity. Warm LED light (2700K) and pearlescent effects create subtle light gradients on the wall, ranging from golden to pearlescent tones. In addition, the luminaire can be grouped into variable compositions (waves, circles or abstract structures), creating a dynamic spectacle that changes with the angle of view and the intensity of the light - from a shimmering glow to an intimate play of shadows at dusk. Each installation thus becomes a unique lightscape where natural inspiration combines with modern design.

Designed by Boris Klimek

Boris Klimek - a Prague-based designer and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Product and Conceptual Design Studio) with international experience from internships in England, Slovakia and the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, creates design that goes beyond mere functionality towards poetic stories and emotions. His work, which has been awarded in numerous competitions, combines technical precision with playful imagination - as in the Dew Drops lighting for Bomma, where he has translated the inspiration of nature (dew drops) into a contemporary craft object. Klimek consciously works with imaginative shapes, light and materials to ensure that his works are not only useful, but also stimulate the imagination and create memorable atmospheres. In each project he seeks that magical balance between perfection of execution and the ability to evoke a personal, almost intimate experience.
