Metamorphosis is like the transformation of crystal into a sublime luminous jewel that adorns every interior. Each piece of this lighting allows for its own composition both artistically and technically perfect. The delicate geometric shapes on the hand-blown crystal unfold thanks to an internal light source that highlights amber, crystal or smoky hues. These seemingly tiny light objects, like stars in the night sky, fascinate individually and even more so in a group, creating a unique atmosphere in any space.

The Metamorphosis pendant light from Bomma, Czech Republic, is a remarkable combination of art and technical excellence. This new collection is the result of a collaboration between BOMMA and Rückl glassworks, led by designer Rony Plesl, who has lent his masterful hands to create a unique crystal lighting. In this project, the two well-known glass houses came together, combining their talent for hand-cutting crystal with the innovative technical solutions and star light principles that are characteristic of the BOMMA brand.

Designed by Rony Plesl

Rony Plesl is one of the most important Czech designers and glass masters of our time, known for his ability to push the boundaries of traditional glass craft towards modern art. In his work, he combines a deep respect for the Czech glassmaking tradition with innovative techniques and bold concepts to achieve original results. Plesl is renowned for his precision, attention to detail and ability to work with the emotions of light and glass, as demonstrated by his design for lighting Metamorphosis lighting, created in collaboration between the Bomma and Rückl brands. The themes that inspire him often draw on nature, philosophy and transformation, which gives his pieces depth and a unique aesthetic. His work crosses the boundaries between functional design and art objects, making him one of the most distinctive personalities in Czech and international design.
