Design by Ota Svoboda

Ota Svoboda, author of the iconic Bomma Soap lighting, is one of the leading Czech designers focused on working with crystal. After studying at the glass school in Nový Bor, he began his career as a glassmaker and later co-founded the creative duo Borninbor. In 2013, he joined Bomma glassworks, where he rose from the position of metallurgist to become the chief development manager and became the brand's key in-house designer. The Bomma Soap lamp is the result of his masterful fusion of traditional glassmaking techniques and modern design, reflecting his attention to detail and innovative approach to working with crystal.
