Tatawin is a family of lamps designed by Adolfo Abejón. The shape of the shade is reminiscent of the upper part of the characteristic houses in Tataouine, a town in the south-east of Tunisia. This compact and elegant wall light has an aluminium structure and an opal glass shade. The light source is designed for a bulb with an E27 base. The luminaire is available in two colours and two types - with a fixed arm or with an adjustable arm that allows a horizontal orientation of 150 degrees. The lighting solution is designed for global markets and is compatible with mains voltages 110-120 V and 220-240 V.

Wall lamp Tatawin

The design of the Tatawin luminaire combines modern design with high functionality. It has a solid aluminium structure that is light and stable, and an opal glass plate shade that evenly diffuses light for a pleasant atmosphere. The luminaire is equipped with an arm that is available in two versions: with a fixed arm for fixed light direction and with an adjustable arm that allows horizontal orientation of the light up to 150 degrees. It is designed for an E27 base light source, providing flexibility in bulb choice, and is compatible with global voltages of 110-120V and 220-240V, making the luminaire ideal for a variety of markets.

Reference to traditional Tataouine architecture

The shape of the Tatawin lampshade is inspired by the characteristic architecture of the city of Tataouine, located in the south-east of Tunisia. The town is famous for its unique houses, the upper parts of which have distinctively shaped roofs that have become a symbol of the traditional architecture of the area. The design of the Tatawin lamp shade reflects this shape, with the circular, compact design symbolising the simplicity and functionality of these historic buildings. The opal glass version of the shade then not only stays true to this architectural legacy, but also provides a soft and evenly diffused light, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere in any space. This design combines traditional elements with a modern aesthetic, bringing a unique look and feel to the interior.

Designed by Adolfo Abejón

Adolfo Abejón is an industrial designer whose work is based on functionality, aesthetic purity and timelessness. Through his studio, he offers industrial design, consulting and creative direction services, with an emphasis on understanding his clients' needs to create tailor-made products and solutions for them. Having worked with leading brands such as PUIG, Etnia Barcelona, ELISAVA Escuela Universitaria, Faro Barcelona and Tous, his work seeks new means of expression in contemporary design. He designs furniture, lighting and everyday objects with an almost sculptural presence, combining conceptual depth with precise craftsmanship. Abejón believes that quality and honesty are essential qualities for design to stand the test of time, and it is this principle that is reflected in his minimalist, functional and visually striking pieces that transcend ephemeral trends.
