Luang is a locally made wall light designed by Faro Lab. The Luang family is inspired by the art and handcrafted papyrus and natural fiber objects in Southeast Asia and how they create incredibly formal, poetic and complex volumetric objects from flat elements. It has a minimalist structure that contrasts with the loose and organic look of the lampshade, which has no structure and is made entirely of papyrus, and shines throughout. The shade of this model is beige or camel, which provides a very natural, cosy light. Lighting designed for global markets, compatible with 110-120V and 220-240V supply voltages. The light source is for E27 base bulbs.

The design of the Luang wall lamp combines minimalist design with ecological and artisanal principles. Its simple structure contrasts with the organic shade, which is made entirely of papyrus, allowing the light to diffuse evenly without shadows or a solid skeleton. The design draws inspiration from the traditional craftsmanship of Southeast Asia, where natural materials create intricate yet elegant objects. The overall design evokes fragility and lightness, giving the luminaire an airy, harmonious character that suits a variety of interiors.

Environmentally friendly and sustainable

The eco-friendly solution for the Luang wall lamp lies in the use of natural materials, efficient packaging and optimised production. The shade is made of papyrus, a natural and renewable material, and is manufactured in Bulgaria, while the structure of the luminaire is created in Spain, reducing the ecological impact by optimising logistics and supporting local production. The luminaire is packaged in Flat Pack format, which saves space during storage and transportation, minimizing CO2 emissions. Additionally, it is compatible with global power supply voltages, eliminating the need for different variants and reducing waste. This combination of green principles makes the Luang luminaire environmentally friendly and sustainable.
