The Luang Table lamps, designed by Faro Lab, is a locally produced design inspired by the art and traditional handmade papyrus and natural fiber objects of Southeast Asia. This series of lamps focuses on creating complex, poetic and voluminous shapes from flat materials. The lamp has a minimalist design that contrasts with the organic and free-form shade, which is made entirely of papyrus and has no internal structure, allowing for even illumination. The shade is in beige or camel shades that provide a pleasant and natural light. The lamp is designed for global markets and is compatible with 110-120V and 220-240V supply voltages. The light source is for an E27 base bulb.

Table lamp Luang

The Luang luminaire impresses with its minimalist design and the unique way the light passes through its papyrus shade. This natural material allows for an even and soft diffusion of light, while the shade has no internal structure, creating soft lighting without harsh shadows and giving the room a pleasantly cosy atmosphere. Inspired by the artisanal traditions of Southeast Asia, the lamp's design combines simplicity with an organic shape, creating an interesting contrast between structure and free form. The lighting effect is almost ethereal, creating a magical atmosphere in the interior.

Eco-friendly packaging and sustainability

The packaging of the Luang luminaire is designed in a Flat Pack form, which optimizes volume during storage and transportation, reducing transportation costs and the environmental burden associated with CO2 emissions. The lamp structure is manufactured in Spain and the lampshade in Bulgaria, which helps to minimise distances between manufacturing and distribution sites, thereby reducing the environmental impact. The use of natural materials, such as papyrus, further contributes to the sustainability of the product as it has less negative impact on the environment than synthetic materials. Overall, the design of this luminaire is aimed at reducing the ecological footprint and promoting environmental friendliness.
