Biagio is not an assembled light - each lamp is sculpted from a single block of the famous Carrara marble, traditionally used to make works of art. This production method ensures not only structural integrity, but also the uniqueness of each piece, as no two pieces of marble have the same veining. Each light is therefore an original that carries the power of nature and artisanal precision.

Design with history and weight

Biagio is more than just a decorative element - its weight and shape convey stability and permanence. Thanks to its massive marble body, the lamp weighs approximately 8 kilograms, making it not only a solid but also visually impressive object. Tobia Scarpa is a renowned Italian designer and architect who, in collaboration with his wife Afra Scarpa, has created a number of iconic modern design products. Born in Venice in 1935, he became famous not only for his furniture, but also for the lighting fixtures he designed for the renowned Flos brand, such as the Foglio, Fantasma and Biagio models. Their work has been awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro prize, both for a specific product (the Soriana chair) and for a lifetime contribution to design. Scarpa is renowned for its ability to combine functionality, aesthetics and quality materials in timeless forms that have become part of the interiors and collections of the world's museums.
