The IC Lights luminaire from the Italian brand Flos is an elegant wall or ceiling light that provides soft and diffused light. The IC Lights luminaire by Flos was designed as a tribute to balance and simplicity - its shape resembles a balance scale, where the glass diffuser is like a ball of light balanced by a metal frame. This minimalist concept emphasises the connection between light and shape, making it not only a practical lighting fixture but also an art object.

Variability and materials

IC Lights offers a wide range of finishes including brass, chrome and black, making it easy to match different interior styles. In addition, it is possible to choose a variant with one or two diffusers, allowing light to be adapted to different spatial requirements and lighting effects. This flexibility ensures that IC Lights is suitable for both domestic and commercial use.

Designed by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades is an internationally acclaimed designer known for his unique approach to lighting, combining precise geometric forms with subtle poetry. Born in Cyprus, he founded his eponymous studio in 1994 after studying mechanical engineering and industrial design in London. His work is characterised by a minimalist aesthetic language that often works with contrasts - between balance and tension, light and shadow, solidity and fragility. His lighting, such as the iconic IC Lights collection for the Flos brand, are both functional objects and sculptural works. He has collaborated with some of the world's leading brands, including Flos, B&B Italia, Herman Miller and Cassina, and his work is represented in prestigious collections at museums such as MoMA in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Anastassiades proves that light is not only a practical tool, but also a medium for expressing beauty and emotion.
