Designed by Michael Anastassiades, IC Lights is light delicate balance between lightness and elegance. A typical element is the hand-blown opal glass sphere, which seems to defy gravity thanks to a subtle metal rod in brushed brass, chrome or black. The sphere is suspended above or below the axis, creating the illusion of balancing - inspired by the movement of a juggler. The IC Lights collection explores the theme of balance and is available in different versions - table, wall, ceiling and pendant. The hanging version is offered in two sizes and three finishes: brass, chrome and black.

Inspiration by juggler and movement

The design of IC Lights was born out of Michael Anastassiades' fascination with the art of juggling. The way the juggler manipulates the balls in the air inspired the entire collection - the glass balls appear to have just stopped in flight, in a perfectly timed moment of balance. This impression of balancing between stability and movement gives the luminaire a poetic charge and visual tension.

Minimalism with attention to detail

Although IC Lights looks simple at first glance, every detail has been carefully considered - from the precisely balanced construction to the fine finish of the metal parts. The opal glass sphere is not only an aesthetic feature, but also provides a soft, diffused light that creates a pleasant atmosphere in any interior. The luminaire thus combines functionality with artistic expression.

Designed by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades is an internationally acclaimed designer known for his unique approach to lighting, combining precise geometric forms with subtle poetry. Born in Cyprus, he founded his eponymous studio in 1994 after studying mechanical engineering and industrial design in London. His work is characterised by a minimalist aesthetic language that often works with contrasts - between balance and tension, light and shadow, solidity and fragility. His lighting, such as the iconic IC Lights collection for the Flos brand, are both functional objects and sculptural works. He has collaborated with some of the world's leading brands, including Flos, B&B Italia, Herman Miller and Cassina, and his work is represented in prestigious collections at museums such as MoMA in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Anastassiades proves that light is not only a practical tool, but also a medium for expressing beauty and emotion.
