The Mayday multi-purpose outdoor pendant light from Italian company Flos, designed by Konstantin Grcic, is a practical and durable light designed for exterior use. The luminaire is equipped with an E14 bulb base and powered by a 220-240V electrical system with on/off function. The IP65 rated switch is located directly on the handle of lighting for easy operation even in challenging conditions. The six metre cable is specially designed for exterior use and terminates in an IP44 Schuko plug. Mayday thus offers a high level of flexibility, durability and functionality not only in gardens, patios but also in the working environment.

Designed for exterior adventure

Exterior version of the Mayday lighting extends the original concept of multi-purpose light with resistance to adverse conditions. With an IP65 rating on the switch and IP44 on the plug, the light is ideal for use in gardens, on terraces, at the campsite or at evening barbecues. The robust construction and long 6m cable make it convenient to place the light exactly where it is needed.

Iconic design even in the open air

Although designed for the exterior, Mayday retains its distinctive, award-winning design. The handy hook handle makes it easy to hang from a branch, nail or gazebo structure, and also doubles as a cord winder. This clever and stylish approach makes Mayday not only functional, but also aesthetically appealing for any exterior setting.

Designed by Konstantin Grcic

Konstantin Grcic is a renowned German industrial designer with roots in Serbia, known for his minimalist and geometric style. He studied in London and founded his own studio KGID in Munich. His work encompasses furniture, lighting and utilitarian objects that are characterized by an emphasis on function, technical precision and innovative materials. His iconic lighting include the famous Mayday lamp and the Noctambule modular system for the Flos brand. His works are part of the collections of MoMA and Centre Pompidou.
