Design inspired by industrial tools

Konstantin Grcic designed Mayday as a tool rather than a conventional light - its shape and function resemble a work lamp that can be easily carried, hung or placed as needed. This practical approach makes Mayday a versatile light object suitable for the home, studio and outdoors where quick and flexible lighting is needed.

An icon of sustainable design

Mayday is an example of responsible design - the entire production process is focused on a minimal ecological footprint. The polypropylene used is recycled from industrial waste and the absence of adhesives allows for easy disassembly and recycling of individual parts. As a result, light has earned recognition not only for its appearance, but also for its approach to sustainability in modern design.
