The Noctambule pendant light from the Italian company Flos is an elegant and modular lighting system made up of interconnecting glass modules that can reach up to 3.2 metres in length. A 4 metre power cable allows flexible hanging. The construction of lighting consists of cylindrical and hemispherical elements made of transparent hand-blown glass, which are interconnected by hanging connecting rings made of die-cast aluminium. Inside, there is a side arm made of hydroformed steel and diffusers made of opal silicone created by injection moulding. The power unit is concealed in the ceiling rosette and allows dimming of the light in the range of 10-100% using 0-10/1-10V, PUSH or DALI systems. On request, light can be supplemented with a bowl or cone shaped base - see photos.

Technology hidden in elegance

Behind the subtle and clean look of lighting Noctambule lighting lies advanced lighting technology - dimmable LED modules are integrated into the fasteners and remain completely hidden. This allows the visual lightness and cleanliness of the whole object to be maintained, while the user has full control over the lighting intensity via advanced systems such as DALI, PUSH or 0-10V. The result is a combination of technical precision and artistic expression.

Modular design inspired by architecture

Noctambule is designed so that the individual glass modules can be easily combined and layered to create light columns resembling architectural elements such as columns or lanterns. Thanks to this flexibility, light can function as a minimalist solitaire as well as a striking central element in a space, for example in lobbies or high-ceilinged interiors.

Designed by Konstantin Grcic

Konstantin Grcic is a renowned German industrial designer with roots in Serbia, known for his minimalist and geometric style. He studied in London and founded his own studio KGID in Munich. His work encompasses furniture, lighting and utilitarian objects that are characterized by an emphasis on function, technical precision and innovative materials. His iconic lighting include the famous Mayday lamp and the Noctambule modular system for the Flos brand. His works are part of the collections of MoMA and Centre Pompidou.
