The Romeo C3 pendant light demonstrates designer Philippe Starck's ability to bring poetry and sophistication to even the most functional exterior elements. Using hand-braided PVC tubes, he has created a visually dynamic object that changes according to the angle of view and daylight. This approach transforms ordinary exterior lighting into an artistic element that combines the natural environment with technical precision.

Time and weather resistant design

In designing Romeo C3, Flos combined aesthetics with practical properties - the PVC tubes not only look decorative, but also provide high resistance to UV radiation and moisture. As a result, light retains its colour and shape integrity even when exposed to the weather for long periods of time. In addition, the variation of heights and colours allows light to be easily incorporated into a variety of outdoor scenarios, from minimalist to naturalistic.

Philippe Starck (*1949) is one of the most important and influential French designers today, whose work encompasses furniture, interiors, architecture, lighting and everyday objects. He is renowned for his ability to combine functionality with artistic flair, using unconventional materials to create surprising shapes and innovative solutions. His designs are often playful, sometimes ironic, but always ingeniously thought out. He has worked with prestigious brands such as Kartell, Flos, Vitra, Cassina and Duravit, for whom he has designed iconic products, including the famous Louis Ghost transparent chair and unique lighting fixtures.
