The SuperWire T Table light by Flos is an elegant and poetic object designed by the Formafantasma design duo as part of the first modular collection for the Italian brand. The luminaire combines a clean, geometric design with a reference to traditional glass craftsmanship to create an impressive lighting object with a strong aesthetic presence. It consists of one module of 45 cm height, made up of flat hexagonal glass and a connecting element in polished aluminium. The unique LED technology developed by the Flos R&D team forms an extremely thin, flexible LED strip that emits a warm and even light over the entire surface and can be easily replaced or repaired. SuperWire T is thus a modern, bulb-free table light that combines technological innovation with an artistic approach.

The design of lighting refers to the art of 20th century master glassmakers, using modern materials - flat hexagonal glass and polished aluminium. This combination creates an impression of fragility and technical precision at the same time. In this way, SuperWire combines tradition with innovation to deliver light that is not only functional, but also deeply aesthetic and culturally anchored.

Innovative LED technology without bulbs

SuperWire T uses a unique light source developed by the Flos research team - an extremely thin, flat and flexible LED strip that evenly illuminates the entire glass surface. Unlike conventional LED luminaires, it contains no conventional bulb, allowing for a minimalist and compact design. In addition, the LED strip can be easily removed, replaced or repaired, making it an exceptionally sustainable solution in the design lighting category.

Designed by Formafantasma

Formafantasma is an Italian-Dutch design duo formed by Andrea Trimarchi and Simon Farresini, based between Milan and Rotterdam. Their work is based on experimentation that unpredictably shapes the final form of each project - exploring not only materials and forms, but also human behaviour and the relationship with the environment. Their work aims to stimulate a deeper understanding of human nature and the nature around us. Their portfolio is characterised as "visual language and thoroughly researched outcomes", which is reflected in projects such as the Wireline and Wirering lighting, where form is secondary and light and shadow play the main role. In their own words, "We wanted to change the perception of design - to show that design is an approach that helps people better shape their environment."
