Variability of light source settings

The Capsule E27 pendant light from Lucis is designed with functionality and design in mind. Its construction includes an aluminium body that is strong and lightweight, providing stability and durability. Inside this body is a glass opal diffuser that is designed to provide soft and even diffused light. By adjusting the shade, the angle of the light source can be changed. The position of the glass sphere is not changed, only the level of the aluminium shade is adjusted. With this adjustment option, the light can easily be focused on specific areas such as the work area or dining table, making the luminaire not only an aesthetic but also a functional addition to any space.

Lucis Capsule with E27 base

The light source of the Capsule E27 pendant luminaire is compatible with classic bulbs with E27 base, allowing a wide choice of light sources such as LED bulbs, energy saving bulbs or classic incandescent bulbs. Depending on the size of the fixture, you can choose either a 25W bulb with a maximum output of 3W for an LED bulb or a 60W bulb with a maximum output of 9W for an LED bulb. This flexible approach allows users to tailor the lighting intensity and energy efficiency to their needs. This compatibility makes the luminaire ideal for different types of interiors and for creating atmospheric or targeted lighting.

The design studio Herrmann & Coufal, founded by two classmates from the Prague School of Applied Arts, started its journey with a school project and a few beers to gradually develop into one of the leading Czech design studios.
