The WIRO ceiling light from the Belgian brand Wever & Ducré is a design element with an industrial character, made up of solid steel wires that create a distinctive play of light and shadow. Precision painted steel construction

The construction of the WIRO ceiling lighting from Wever & Ducré is made of high-quality painted steel, which ensures strength, durability and resistance to everyday use. Precision-welded steel wires form a stable yet lightweight structure that securely holds its shape and resists deformation. The lacquer finish not only protects the metal against corrosion and mechanical damage, but also gives the luminaire an elegant matt or subtly textured look in black or rust, emphasising its industrial character and timeless aesthetic.

A play of light and shadow with a distinctive character

With its wire design, the WIRO ceiling light from Wever & Ducré creates a unique play of light and shadows, where the light beams gracefully run from lighting across the ceiling and walls in subtle ray-like patterns. Light passes between the metal wires, creating regular yet subtly changing shadows that add dynamism, depth and casual elegance to the space. The resulting effect is warm and cosy, while at the same time standing out for the industrial rawness of the lighting itself.

Designed by Bernd Steinhuber

Bernd Steinhuber is an Austrian designer and architect born in 1972. He started his career by studying architecture at the Technical University of Graz. In 1999 he co-founded the architectural studio INNOCAD in Graz together with Martin Lesjak, Andreas Reiter and Peter Schwaiger. Since 2009, he has been running his own studio Atelier Bernd Steinhuber in Vienna, where he works in product design, graphics and architecture. He also designs products for the renowned Belgian brand Wever & Ducré, including the WIRO collection. "The most important thing for me is the message the product communicates," he says.
