Designed by Franco Zavaris, the 1962 LED floor light from Italian company Zava is an iconic piece of modern design that combines mid-20th century aesthetics with the energy-saving technology of today. The distinctive arched arm and hemispherical metal shade give the luminaire a sculptural expression and dominance in the space. It is available in elegant white or black with the option of an internal shade in white, gold, silver or copper. Design inspired by the architecture of the 1960s

The 1962 Floor light draws inspiration from the iconic architectural forms of the 1960s, characterised by graceful curves, bold materials and a strong spatial presence. This era gave rise to many design legends, and it is Zava's 1962 that continues their legacy through a harmonious blend of aesthetics and function. Its elegant arch recalls bridge structures or industrial booms transformed into a luxurious interior object.

Technology for modern environments

The LED version of lighting 1962 is not just about saving energy - it also offers DALI dimming, making it the ideal choice for demanding interior projects where intelligent lighting control is required. Thanks to this feature, light can be easily integrated into smart lighting control systems, thus adapting the atmosphere of the room to the needs of the moment - whether for work or relaxing in the evening.

Designed by Paolo Ulian

Paolo Ulian is an Italian designer born in 1961 in Massa. In 1990 he received his degree in Industrial Design from the I.S.I.A. Institute in Florence and in the same year he received the international prize "Design for Europe" at the Interieur90 exhibition in Kortijk, Belgium. From 1990 to 1992 he worked as an assistant at Enzo Mari's studio in Milan. In 2000, he won first prize in the "Design Report Award" at the Salone Satellite in Milan and also exhibited at the Saint-Étienne Biennale. Since 2002, he has regularly participated in Droog Design exhibitions at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and in the same year he won the "Dedalus/Abet Laminati European Award". His work has been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and he has collaborated with brands such as Driade, FontanaArte, Droog Design, Progetti, Zani&Zani and Luminara. His work is characterised by a combination of simplicity, conceptual thinking and an emphasis on function and material.
