Designed by Paolo Ulian

Paolo Ulian is an Italian designer born in 1961 in Massa. In 1990 he received his degree in Industrial Design from the I.S.I.A. Institute in Florence and in the same year he received the international prize "Design for Europe" at the Interieur90 exhibition in Kortijk, Belgium. From 1990 to 1992 he worked as an assistant at Enzo Mari's studio in Milan. In 2000, he won first prize in the "Design Report Award" at the Salone Satellite in Milan and also exhibited at the Biennale in Saint-Étienne. Since 2002, he has regularly participated in Droog Design exhibitions at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and in the same year he won the "Dedalus/Abet Laminati European Award". His work has been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and he has collaborated with brands such as Driade, FontanaArte, Droog Design, Progetti, Zani&Zani and Luminara. His work is characterised by a combination of simplicity, conceptual thinking and an emphasis on function and material.
