Designed by designer Franco Zavaris, the Berlino pendant light from the Italian company Zava is based on a poetic memory of a Berlin street bathed in the light of old lamps. This light combines nostalgia with modern craftsmanship. Its body is made of satin aluminium or lacquered iron, giving it a sleek, industrial character. The prismatic glass diffuser gently diffuses the light and creates a pleasant atmosphere. Berlino is designed for bulbs with an E27 base and is ideally suited for both classic and modern interiors.

Inspiration from old Berlin

The design of the Berlino lighting is based on designer Franco Zavaris' personal memory of the streets of Berlin illuminated by ancient lamps. This emotional inspiration gives the luminaire not only aesthetic but also narrative depth, making it more than just a functional object - it is a tribute to urban poetry and nostalgia.

Precise combination of materials

The Berlino luminaire impresses with its precise combination of satin aluminium or lacquered iron with prismatic glass. This contrast of the metal structure and the delicate glass diffuser creates a balanced whole that offers not only a stylish look, but also high-quality and even illumination of the space.

Designed by Franco Zavarise

Franco Zavarise, born in 1960 in Mareeba, Australia, is the visionary founder of the Italian brand ZAVA, which he founded in 1982 with the aim of turning his passion for light and working with metal into unique lighting. After completing his technical studies, he decided to design lighting for his friends, which became the germ of the entire brand. From the very beginning, Zavarise combines his deep experience in metalworking with an instinctive sense of design. At ZAVA's headquarters, traditional craftsmanship meets state-of-the-art technology - lighting are first created using high-tech machinery and then refined by hand, with attention to every detail. Franco believes that quality design should not only be beautiful and functional, but also affordable and sustainable. Today, the ZAVA brand is a symbol of Italian know-how, where industrial precision is combined with a human touch. Interestingly, most of the products are still created directly in their workshops in northern Italy, guaranteeing quality control and authenticity of each piece.
