Sculptural flexibility through modulation

One of the most interesting features of lighting Net Big is its hand-modulated diffuser. Thanks to the laser-cut steel sheet construction, the individual parts can be bent and modified into different shapes, creating a virtually endless range of design variations. The user or architect can thus adapt the shape of lighting to a specific space or interior style - from a simple minimalist form to a dramatic geometric object.

Light as projection of atmosphere

When lit, the Net Big light transforms into a decorative lighting tool that projects subtle shadows and textures onto surrounding walls and ceilings. This visual play of light and shadow creates not only an aesthetic impression, but also an atmospheric depth in the space. The luminaire thus serves not only as a source of light, but also as a light installation that enlivens and enriches the environment in which it is placed.

Designed by Paolo Ulian

Paolo Ulian is an Italian designer born in 1961 in Massa. In 1990 he received his degree in Industrial Design from the I.S.I.A. Institute in Florence and in the same year he received the international prize "Design for Europe" at the Interieur90 exhibition in Kortijk, Belgium. From 1990 to 1992 he worked as an assistant at Enzo Mari's studio in Milan. In 2000, he won first prize in the "Design Report Award" at the Salone Satellite in Milan and also exhibited at the Saint-Étienne Biennale. Since 2002, he has regularly participated in Droog Design exhibitions at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and in the same year he won the "Dedalus/Abet Laminati European Award". His work has been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and he has collaborated with brands such as Driade, FontanaArte, Droog Design, Progetti, Zani&Zani and Luminara. His work is characterised by a combination of simplicity, conceptual thinking and an emphasis on function and material.
